Pros

Has fun culture initiatives, fair pay

Cons

Confused management, no opportunity to really make your voice heard, especially if you're lower level. I worked in the marketing department, and was constantly frustrated. From vague performance reviews (so they don't have to give you a raise), to clique-y groups, to boring design monkey work (I was a graphic designer). If the Partners say jump, you need to say "how high?" no matter what the request, even if it meant turning out a bad project. Questioning "how things have always been done," was DEFINITELY not allowed. Work/life balance was awful. People in my department regularly stayed until 7 or later, so much so that when someone tried to leave at 5, they weren't considered "dedicated enough to the company." Once you got home, you were expected to be online, if not working, then on call. I worked many, many, weekends, once even missing my husband's birthday. Opportunities for advancement were minimal, and the marketing direction has changed several times in the last few years, with extremely high turnover. Mass firings were the norm in my department, keeping morale low. Extreme lack of diversity. As a person of color I was one of maybe four POC in the entire building who was not in an admin role. Overall, one of the worst jobs I've ever had.

Pros

Some folks are great to work with. Some of the leaders really do care.

Cons

Workday practice is a total mess. They have trouble selling work and hours are much lower than they should be so consultants end up spread very thin across multiple projects and still can't hit utilization targets on paper even if they are working very hard in actuality. The independence requirements are insane!! If I had known I would have to disclose all of my investments and be told wha t I am or am not allowed to invest money in I would not have taken the job. Independence is total hell and most consulting firms don't subject employees to those invasive requirements.
