Pros
The only reason I stayed and didn't find a new job was cause I had a great direct boss that I knew before her or I joined the company.
Cons
- I was compensated $10 an HOUR. And they originally wanted to give me $9 but my boss talked them into a dollar higher. Absolutely laughable but I was desperate. -Early mornings and late evenings to accommodate the clients possible work day hours. -Required to work weekends during tax season. -Rarely had relief if you fell sick or needed a day off for any reason. -Not enough training. -I was expected to organize other employees mess of records. -Lunch breaks weren't really a thing. -I repeatedly got talked down to by clients as if I somehow represented the IRS. - I wasn't paid any hazard pay for working as an "essential financial entity " that was required to be open during lockdown. -I was expected to open /close back to back even after late nights. No flexibility.
