Work from home/flexible hours policy, casual dress code and desk set up is nice, most of my coworkers were good people that were pleasant to be around

It’s rare to feel challenged creatively or strategically—you’re always just overworked. Bring this up to management and you get a spiel about needing to be an “A player” who sacrifices for the team. You’ll notice this language in a lot of the reviews on here—a blinking neon sign that they’re coming from higher-ups in the company. The focus is always on up-selling current clients and signing on new ones that are rarely an actual good fit as opposed to spending time best serving existing clients creatively. The focus on company values/culture is all talk and rarely put in to action day-to-day in the office. Surprise in-office mimosas don’t taste as good when you’re spending time every normal workday charging small and struggling businesses thousands of dollars for services you know won’t be the most effective or that they don’t need. There’s a lack of actual agency experience outside of HM in the majority of the C-suite, which becomes crystal clear once you realize the few actual “processes” in place are absolute nonsense. Working there requires signing a restrictive non-compete that will prevent you from working at any other agencies in town. “Competitive” pay is well below market value.
