Pros

Great folks in the engineering department, and a lot of talented people with high tenure. People tend to either stay here for a while. Benefits are pretty good, I've never had questions about taking time off. Your experience will vary heavily by team. For me personally, I don't feel pressured to deliver fast or work long hours or anything. Company is experiencing a lot of growth and has a pretty unique value proposition (headless EHR but with a well-designed UI and mobile app). I like that I get to work on interesting software with cool people. There's a lot of stipends you get, eg. a WeWork membership is really nice. CEO, management, and leadership genuinely care about the product and the culture. CEO especially is extremely nice and wonderful to interact with. A lot of the engineers have kids, have a life outside of work, etc. It's not a bunch of new grads, folks tend to take work life balance a bit more seriously as a result. There are technical problems to solve, scaling challenges, etc. But the company is committed to hiring people to fix it.

Cons

A lot of teams feel overpressured to deliver features, and end up using AI to turn out slop PRs that make my job harder. Depending on the team, there is an expectation to deliver deliver deliver, and an assumption that throwing AI at the problem will somehow make it be solved faster. But the AI code combined with lowering review quality has caused an increasing number of incidents over the past several months. I wish folks felt more empowered to say no to features, or to slow down. The shipping velocity is extremely high, which has caused a higher # of issues. Very little time for proper technical work or code quality cleanup. I feel like if folks had more time to properly scope features they'd be able to deliver faster and more consistently. Little funding for stuff like conferences for technical staff. When they pay for travel you have to fly economy :( Leadership is fine. Haven't had much interaction with them. Memos earlier in the year about AI made folks feel more anxious, but generally things have been stable since then. Healthcare options are expensive with huge deductibles and no HSA unless you're on a $4k deductible plan. Also some of the worst healthcare I've had at a company. Unsure how much they can fix that.

Pros

I’ve had the privilege of working with many leadership teams throughout my career, and this is one of the strongest and most supportive I’ve experienced. What stands out most is the executive team’s humility and commitment to continuous improvement. They work incredibly hard, actively seek feedback, and are genuinely open to changing course when presented with better ideas or customer insights. That level of self-awareness and willingness to learn is rare. The culture across the company is equally impressive. Teams are empathetic, collaborative, kind, and deeply passionate about serving our customers. People care about one another and are united by a shared mission to improve healthcare outcomes. I’ve also been consistently impressed by the product’s flexibility and the pace of innovation. The company has thoughtfully embraced AI across the organization to drive efficiency and deliver more value to customers, while continuing to invest in the core platform. No company is without challenges, especially during periods of rapid growth, but I’ve found leadership to be transparent, receptive to feedback, and committed to building both a great product and a great place to work.

Pros

Remote/hybrid, decent benefits, good initial pay. Good company mission.

Cons

Micromanagement from c-suite, punitive instead of blameless culture, no raises in over 2 years, no career ladder. Push to do more and more without the resources to do so and are berated when quality suffers.
