Pros
Option to work from home
Cons
- Leadership losing direction in what they are doing - Subject matter experts are led by people who have no expertise in a that field (e.g. data scientists & software engineers led by people with no such backgrounds) - Middle management gaslighting and would play mind games with you if they don't deem you to be on their side - Lack of transparency in leadership decisions, but they would ask transparency of you - Office politics is rampant, despite being touted to be a great place to work - Remuneration is below market, business is not making revenue to pay for competitive salary - Shifting systems and processes like shifting sands - Lack of proper onboarding procedure - Messy documentation - Lack of trust between team members - They would have high expectations of you, but don't give you the proper support and resources to make that happen. - Always wanting to extract the lack bit of juice out of you, they would send messages after working hours - Lack of career progression - Too many pointless meetings - Burnout rate is super high - Short tenure, may colleagues leave within 1 year.
