Pros

Company operates on a somehow stable line of business (people throw away money in casinos and lottery, hoping to get rich even during desperate times). Health insurance is ok.

Cons

Horrible leadership, they do not walk the talk. Don't believe me? Google "IGT NYSE" and see for yourself how "Diverse" management is on the pics when they rang the bell at the stock exchange. Not a single female, not a single person from a minority group, no one younger than 55; hypocrisy more like it when they are supposed to promote and be proud of "Diversity and Inclusion". Salaries are way below average. Engineers and support people are pushed to the extreme. No work-life balance. Non-existing raises (unless a 0.5 to 2% annual raise may be "potentially available" only if you "perform above and beyond your regular duties" sounds like a good deal to you), extreme cut of "unnecessary" costs (training and development included of course), people is expected to be available to work after hours and weekends as the norm and not as the exception. Long timers have no state of the art skills at all; management, "leadership", engineering, project, processes and work procedures are very aged. For instance, some managers want to "teach you Agile" when they are clueless about what Agile means. The Human Resources "partners" are the worst I have ever seen: they have zero respect for people and care more about how employees dress or "patrol the desks" instead of ensuring they have the right conditions and tools to perform their very demanding work. Individuals are promoted to management positions because of the number of years at the company, experience (read, doing exactly the same tasks the same exact same way for years), closeness (read, friendship) to Directors or VPs without any regard of what people and soft-skills they may have. On the flip side, if you are a Tech Director or HR partner, you can very well do your grocery shopping during work hours, go to happy hour or leave for home at 2:00 PM; yes, that is a fact.

Good benefits, flexibility in scheduling if you have the right job and/or manager.

The company is in a state of flux for the past 10+ years plagued by multiple acquisitions and mergers leading to multiple reductions in force and instability.
