Pros
My opinions come across from having worked at mainly at legacy IHS side of things* - Good market recognition in BI services across broad spectrum of industries and areas - Smart and talented work colleagues - Some of them industry experts in their areas - A good place to get your career kick started - Decent benefits - Good work-life - Flexible working hours - Liked the pre-merger London (Houndsditch) office - Flexible dress code - at least in my dept. - Decent after work social events
Cons
- Salary could be much better / competitive after you put in after few years - The growth has been mainly through acquisitions, so there's a lot of integration going on all the time - Sometime it feels like we are part of a silo culture, lots of teams don't know each other at all. - You need to try and be hitched to good department/ area, else your career growth seems to linger or stall - Lot of mid-level people not doing much, just cruising along - RSUs, stock options could MUCH better - UK ops opinion - Seems to have a lack of long term clarity - Don't like the new post merger London office, too many people crammed in. Very poor washroom / employee ratio! You do spend wasting significant time looking for an open bathroom (gents anyways) - HR doesn't really seem to care about employees - going through the motions
