Pros

Flexibility, Muti-cultural workforce, brand name in some sectors, beautiful office, good maternity benefits, good budgets for company events, some great souls and kind people. A great place for ladies about/planning for babies, whites or unambitious people who wants a work/life balance and employees in their 50s, 60s and even 70s.

Cons

Racist - helps if you are white as promotion are more straightforward and salaries are higher for them. 80% of key managers are whites. If non-whites are managers, their level and salaries are much lower than their counterparts in EMEA/US. HR extremely powerful - gives themselves promotion every 2 years, hardly mix with anyone below director level, and limit annual increment to a very low single digit. All new hires salaries are being ridiculously pressed down by HR, so negotiate smartly before taking up job. They can offer you a salary lower than your current one while knowing that the hiring manager wants you badly. Lip service is a norm especially with management, everything is easier to say than to do. Local leadership is spreadsheet and CRM software driven. A bad place for go-getter, smart and ambitious non-whites. A bad place for effective managers/leadership.

Pros

A technology company so far behind that there is always interesting projects going on. In the past year executive leadership seems to have some focus and it does not feel like organization ADD. Benefits are very competitive.

Cons

A very consistent pattern of RIF's every few months. It is interesting that it is not always the lower performers, be very careful expressing an opinion for progress to middle management or you will very likely find yourself on the next RIF list. This is a management team that thinks they know it all. There are very few examples of leaders in this group, most are bosses, will make sure to tell you how to do the job. If you are coming in make sure to get a very good understanding of the expectation of role and responsibilities. If you are skilled you will be taken advantage of and asked to contribute at higher grade levels but performance and advancement is very subjective and there is no transparency in organizations like IT about what it takes to move to next levels. Unless of course you are playing that middle management stroking feathers game right..
