Pros

Remote work, Available Bonus, and Vacation time

Cons

No notice of being let go, position was eliminated* and was given zero warning. Manager was not qualified to do their job and constantly complained down the line about her duties and responsibilities, her manager had so many irons in the fire, taking on way too many responsibilities that the team couldn't possibly cover but still expected to complete on time. Constantly changing expectations and changes were not communicated to all team members in a clear and concise way so when mistakes happened people were called out in front of the team instead of taken care of individually. *the job wasn't eliminated, it was sent to India. I was made to train my replacements before being let go. I was called into a monthly 1:1 meeting with my manager and an HR rep was also present and that's when I knew I had just lost my job. Zero warning this was going to happen.

Pros

Resources and access to good studies to be successful in research, immediate PTO benefits, 401k match.

Cons

Growth opportunities/compensation - besides the annual merit raises of <3 percent I haven’t gotten a raise in 5 years.

Pros

Great pay initially, especially after negotiating. People are very smart and willing to meet for networking and learning opportunities. Flexibility and work life balance is by far the best perk - especially since many roles are fully remote.

Cons

Merit raises have been subpar the last 4 years and do not come close to keeping with inflation, consistently the company cites great EBITDA growth but that never is shown in bonuses nor merit raises despite receiving “exceeds expectations” ratings. Parental leave is a nominal. Very easy to get “lost in the sauce” of such a large company.
