      Pros

      It used to be a great place. Past three years have just been cost cutting.

      Cons

      The company only cares about near term financials. No strategy for the long haul. Constant cost cutting. Few women leaders. Lack of real career planning. Major silos. No leadership alignment. Never grants bonuses at target levels (Never...it is a recruiting ruse!)

      Resources and access to good studies to be successful in research, immediate PTO benefits, 401k match.

      Cons

      Growth opportunities/compensation - besides the annual merit raises of <3 percent I haven’t gotten a raise in 5 years.

      The layoffs were handled quietly and unexpectedly, even though there were some early signs. They didn’t share who else was affected, but it was clearly more than just me.

      Cons

      They’re doing layoffs in phases, and my position was part of the most recent round.
