Pros
There have been challenges as the client list changed and the agency grew & shrank – a lot of that is visible in the frustration of the outgoing reviews from 2017. That being said, the management team has been focused on making improvements, and as a result, there's a lot I enjoyed about my time at IR:
• Solid team leads who genuinely care for their reports.
• Eager to pitch new business, and support strong investment in pitch creative.
• The exciting work gets shared around the creative team - no cherry picking. Everyone will do banners, but everyone do work for the big, fun clients too.
• Being a small business (always <40) means co-workers are like family.
• In-this-together attitude of employees.
• Beer Fridays. Sounds cliché but it really brings everyone together here.
Cons
There's a few kinks that haven't yet been worked out:
• Mainly project based work makes forecasting/staffing challenging.
• Management team can overthink some of the issues.
• Toxic negativity WAS an issue, but mostly resolved through culture improvements.
