Pros

Good location, right on top of the shopping centre, train station and bus links. Friendly and hard working staff (excluding management).

Cons

Awful management that have no thought for their staff. Huge staff turnaround, for a company that employ only around 10-15 people, they will have more than that come and go within a year. This is down to their low offering salaries, poor recruitment processes and then the inevitable fall out with management. Lack of care for their smaller customers Lack of trust from management with their staff. I'd also like to point out based off previous replies on this company: - Well established company with an extensive number of clients, has been in business for 20 years and is still growing and expanding. - After working at Impress you will really question how this has been possible, however they're not growing. The infrastructure of Impress Solutions is very out dated and soon enough this will catch up on them. - Hardworking team of management and colleagues. - True for all but half of management. - Friendly, sociable and supportive network. - Again only outside of management. - Strong focus on investing in training & development. - This is false, there is next to no training and development offered. Only what's required by business partners (the bare minimum). - Busy, professional & enjoyable - The company is busy, but this is due to being understaffed. Current staff are constantly strained and stressed due to workloads and then lack of care from management. The only people who are professional is everyone but management and the only enjoyable part is when Michael Poon is out of the office. As for comments made by the managing Director on the replies, there's only one reason for the current long standing employees and that's down to the location and ease for them to travel into work. I could guarantee if a similar company opened up opposite, then 90% of the staff would look to leave. The moral within the company is very low and this is all down to the management's poor communication and personal skills.

Pros

Variety of work, applications, technologies Leading edge automating processes and integrating with many third party applications, including many banks Variety of Clients generally great to work with Bosses very supportive and understanding of personal issues Challenging role very enjoyable and keeps life interesting Remote working since initial lockdown for protection of team which I find works very well. Very nice office when anyone does have to go in to prepare hardware etc for customers, great location, close to station and right next to all shops and restaurants etc. Good quality equipment supplied to home, VOIP high tech phones, headsets for Microsoft Teams, 2 monitors and PC

Cons

Has been stressful at times but team is now expanding to accomodate the growth and success of the business with some great new additions Can require some out of hours support but not too often and just like every other IT role I have had in my 35 years in IT Need to slow downa little at times and not take on too much new development but at the same time this is largely driven by customer demand and competition between clients to keep one step ahead

Pros

- Well established company with an extensive number of clients, has been in business for 20 years and is still growing and expanding. - Nice office with a great location in Romford (ideal for transport links). - Hardworking team of management and colleagues. - Friendly, sociable and supportive network. - Strong focus on investing in training & development. - Busy, professional & enjoyable working atmosphere. There are plenty of opportunities to grow & develop within this firm, which is quite beneficial for career development. I have been involved (and have gained key experience) in a wide range of areas throughout different aspects of my role and department. We have plenty of regular one to one with management, creating an opportunity to voice our feedback, report back how things are going and so on - which is completely different to larger companies where this may occur a few times a year at best. Management are approachable and supportive in encouraging us to excel & challenge ourselves. A busy firm with a hardworking team, lots to do and plenty to get done!
