Pros

Variety of work, applications, technologies Leading edge automating processes and integrating with many third party applications, including many banks Variety of Clients generally great to work with Bosses very supportive and understanding of personal issues Challenging role very enjoyable and keeps life interesting Remote working since initial lockdown for protection of team which I find works very well. Very nice office when anyone does have to go in to prepare hardware etc for customers, great location, close to station and right next to all shops and restaurants etc. Good quality equipment supplied to home, VOIP high tech phones, headsets for Microsoft Teams, 2 monitors and PC

Cons

Has been stressful at times but team is now expanding to accomodate the growth and success of the business with some great new additions Can require some out of hours support but not too often and just like every other IT role I have had in my 35 years in IT Need to slow downa little at times and not take on too much new development but at the same time this is largely driven by customer demand and competition between clients to keep one step ahead

Pros

- Well established company with an extensive number of clients, has been in business for 20 years and is still growing and expanding. - Nice office with a great location in Romford (ideal for transport links). - Hardworking team of management and colleagues. - Friendly, sociable and supportive network. - Strong focus on investing in training & development. - Busy, professional & enjoyable working atmosphere. There are plenty of opportunities to grow & develop within this firm, which is quite beneficial for career development. I have been involved (and have gained key experience) in a wide range of areas throughout different aspects of my role and department. We have plenty of regular one to one with management, creating an opportunity to voice our feedback, report back how things are going and so on - which is completely different to larger companies where this may occur a few times a year at best. Management are approachable and supportive in encouraging us to excel & challenge ourselves. A busy firm with a hardworking team, lots to do and plenty to get done!

Pros

Opposite a shopping center. So great for getting food. Has air con so you won't get too cold... hopefully.

Cons

Avoid this place! The review before is so true. I wish I listened to it but I guess you live and you learn. This bosses are extremely unprofessional and possibly the nastiest people you will ever come across, a nightmare to work with. It is always your fault no matter the problem and they frequently threaten to fire people. They have cctv in the office to watch what you're doing and like to complain about whether you look "bored" or not. Also moan when you leave on time even as if you’re never allowed to leave until at least after an hour after your contracted working hours. AVOID!

As an employer we do encourage staff to discuss their issue face to face, we do also have, as do many companies, a probation period, during which staff who we feel are not able to add to the team in a productive way, are unfortunately terminated. This as is the case here, can lead to an ex-employee wanting to dish out a level of retribution. In answer to some of the specific points raised we have been in business since 1997, we couldn’t have managed that without being a very professional company. However we do have high standards in the delivery of our services and expect staff to work to that high standard. Staff who are disinterested and not contributing do not pass their probation period, this is not only in the best interested of our customers but the team as a whole. Work that has a deadline needs to be completed, no one is expected to stay beyond their contracted hours but those who do put in the extra effort are rewarded. Coming from an open plan office and moving to a building with multiple small offices was a culture shock, CCTV was put in, with screens in each room along with cameras so each and every member of staff and not just the bosses could see each other. We have employees who have been with us for over 15 years and are still with us, if it was that bad working here then why would that be the case. As a final point I would like to mention the word discrimination used in this post, we are a non-discriminatory company with staff from all backgrounds and cultures. We are the management would say to anyone reading these posts, that they should come along and see for themselves and not believe everything they are reading here.
