At that time, there were a lot of odd choices for VPs who just didn't "get it" when it came to Ingram Micro's business model. They've since moved on. Very sales-focused culture at the time--if you weren't in sales, you didn't advance beyond management-level employment. That sucked for valuable, hard-working employees.
