Pros

If you can whether the storm, it's not perfect, but really depends where you are coming from. If you look at Insight as an opportunity to get your stuff together, to build a career, the opportunity is there to build your name and move from role to role and learn as much as you can. Most people who succeed do not have a lot of opportunities elsewhere and therefore work as hard as they can to make it happen. You can make good money, grow significantly year over year, but need to be smart about it. Ensure you are prospecting for the right book. You are only as good as your book, then you need to connect, sell, manage the deals and start all over. Great perks, free food 20-30% of the time, underground parking for $20 month, beautiful office full of natural light, very nice people overall, a community spirit. If you earn your dues and put in a good 3-5 years, the company will be open to support you in the direction that you desire. But you need to network, ensure you are getting the mentoring and training you need. Its on you, not Insight, so if you want to make it happen you can, but no one will do it for you. If you ask, most people will help you. Its tough like being in the trenches, so people who make it are always ready to help people trying to make it. If your humble, people will respect you. If you're a hot shot, good luck as you will be left on your own to make it happen.

Cons

Its a sink or swim environment. If you are not a worker, you will never make it on brains or beauty alone past 1 year. Many of the management team have either been there for 15+ years or under 2 years. Too many Partner selling day events, that focus on partner selling versus your client's needs. Lots of turnover that never seems to be addressed. Morale is volatile, depending on who the present director is. If its someone stable, things are good. If they decide to put someone who is not ready, anything can happen. Most directors burn out. Compensation has been cut over the past 5 years for the US side, the CDN comp is better, but US normally has more opportunity for larger deals. Lots of processes, back and fourth, to simply quote, sell and ship.

Pros

Work life balance is okay. Hybrid schedule. Depending on your manager they can work with you. Some really great and caring people. Generous PTO.

Cons

Pay is noncompetitive. The medical benefits are pretty bare minimum. Lastly, the company morale is in the tank overall. Missed several quarterly quotas, new CEO brought in to fix things. Nobody knows where anything is headed
