Pros

Working the clinic isn't too bad, it can be relaxing and calm just working in the office. Doctors are fun to work with and you can get your spine adjusted whenever you want. There's no discrimination, it's a great place to work as a minority. You have the opportunity to work plenty of hours.

Cons

Management love to leverage negative feedback instead of showing their employees how to do things better. Many people leave after 1-2 years, or even less. I have seen 8-10 employees on the doctor level and wellness Coordinator level leave all within the first 5-6 months of working there. We are expected to cover clinics on the drop of a dime without any heads up. They require 60 days in advance for you to request time off for vacation. And even if you are sick you STILL have to find coverage for yourself in advance. If you don't do what the managers want, they will gaslight you in meetings and treat you horribly. They don't understand how to treat their employees with respect. There's a better way to say things without frustrating the people who work under you. Most of the time these clinic locations are not nearby to the main clinic that we work at, so for example I was asked to cover for Gilroy when I am based in San Jose, with hardly any compensation. They will cover only 60% of your gas fee and will only start counting miles FROM the home location that you work at, not your actual home where we leave work from. I have been promised multiple times for compensation when it comes to previous car trips that I have made, and I still never got any gift card or compensation. They love to dangle it in front of you to promise but will never fulfill the promise later.

Pros

Flexibility: as long as you inform management ahead of time, they can be very flexible to help adjust your work schedule for more suitable time if you need days off for school. As an employee working here the benefit is Free Adjustment and Family plan discount as well has friend with some exceptions, Bonus Opportunity: They do alots of promotion event to help the clinic as a whole but you would have to put in the effort and time to get your bonus like a sort of commission per wellness plan you sale. Boost communication skills: you would be meeting lots of patients that have a variety of difference experience, they may or choose not to communicate with you but you do create connection. New Wellness Coordinator and Chiropractor are being hiring all the time throughout to fill positions per clinic, I believe they are trying to establish 2 chiropractor every day with at least 1 Full-time WC and 1 part-time WC. That why they do Team bonding events so that everyone have a chance to meet one another and bond in person.

Cons

Expected to cover shifts as needed even when you already working a full shift. Management would rather want you to do shift swaps instead of coverage when ask for a day off under 60 days time off periods. The time of opening can become very inconvenience due to work/life balance. Calling in sick they expect you to find your own coverage. When I am mentally and physically exhausted from sickness at 3am-4am in the morning just to give you ahead note that I won't be able to come in. Bonus can come in go because they do give you plenty of opportunity to get a bonus but they also have a requirement for you to upheld a minimum of 50% to get your bonus for the month. Even if you are off by 0.01% then that $500-$1,000 bonus could be said "Goodbye" for the month.
