Pros

Direct contact with customers to serve. Opportunity to experience guest service in an international environment. Positive staff catering and good healthcare package. Can build long term connection with colleagues and friendship outside of work with different departments. Good insights to learn about hotel career roles. Good for the CV.

Cons

Chaotic communication between guests, staff and managers result into ambiguous performance delivery. Performance if good or bad is confusing, because it depends on your manager, boss etc if they like you or not. Useless team meetings, less about the task, more about who to blame about yesterday failures. Too many colleagues come and go, some never return back to work. This forces to rebuild routine again. Means, staying at beginner level, slow progressing. Unhealthy office politics around managers. But advertised as "individuality and be yourself, recognize team members only in team member of the month. For example who works harder, who never said no to more work- what does this mean? The best slave receives recognition? feel like in the family" The company is obsessed about useless team building activities including LBTQ. Waste my time to spend with my real family at home and my real gay friends. But it looks good for the firm on social media. I understand.
