Leadership Nightmare - Anonymous employee Kosas Employee Review

Working at Kosas has changed my life in so many ways (for the better!). I was shocked to see any negative reviews below as I have not had a negative experience in the slightest. Kosas is an VERY fast paced environment, and the teams are very small, but tight knit! I’ve been met with tons of support by my coworkers as well as all levels of management, which has meant a lot being someone that is newer in my career. They give me all the autonomy, flexibility, and support in the world — which has seriously boosted my confidence and I’ve learned so much in the year I’ve been here. The office culture is very laid back, friendly, and welcoming to newcomers! The office itself is comfortable and gorgeous. All the employees whether they’re an exec, manager or junior level - they are kind and approachable. Working here can be TOUGH some days — lots of work, wearing a lot of hats, fast paced, etc. However, the environment and culture makes up for that ten fold, and helps those stressful days not so bad. For the most part though, I have great work life balance and genuinely love my job here. I highly recommend to anyone considering a position at Kosas!

It’s honestly hard to think of any huge cons that stick out to me! I suppose this may not be the place for someone that doesn’t like fast paced work or smaller teams. But if you’re like me and want to push yourself to be better and learn tons along the way, then Kosas is the right place for that!

Some of the products are good

I could not recommend more strongly that prospective employees avoid Kosas. There is a seriously toxic culture issue coming from the leadership team. It has created an environment where employees are afraid to speak up or take risks, and therefore the innovation of the company is plummeting while creative/marketing is totally out of touch with what is necessary to succeed in 2025. The leadership team is stuck in 2015 and come from large back-stabbing corporate environments. They want to turn Kosas into Estee Lauder (notoriously terrible culture), rather than nurture what used to make Kosas special. Also not a good environment for POC and LGBTQ employees. I believe there are 1 or maybe 2 black employees in the whole company? The brand intentionally avoids taking a stand on any social values which is not only hard to deal with as an employee, but makes the brand vacuous and empty to consumers.
