Pros
The role has started off at a slow but even pace - there's a lot to learn but there's time to learn it slowly or as you move through the role, and I appreciate how flexible it’s been. Management is easygoing and helpful, and we can make improvements together and communicate as needed. This role provides me with almost full agency over my assigned responsibilities. It’s a decent work environment where everyone is focused but still has the decency to be friendly towards each other.
Cons
There are some minor communication challenges, but reaching out, when necessary, as well as speaking in ways for everyone to understand, are some things I’ve been trying to work on. I like the independence I have over my work, and I know my current responsibilities and some new tasks to expect soon, but check-ins would be helpful to review my progress. I’m learning that I would need to be reaching out more. Also, it would be helpful to have access to certain places in the building to obtain the supplies that I’m responsible for, or access rooms where guests would set up meetings.
