Pros

- You will have a job. - The company pays a stipend for mobile phone data and for travel.

Cons

If you insist on working here: - Do not buy the company's messaging about being a "mission-based" organization. They want to seem like an ethical/moral company. They like to tout their 'non-profit' status. But stay at the company long enough, and you'll realize that they are, ultimately, all about the money. - At first, it may seem like management simply needs training to address their disorganization and irrationality. But I don't believe that the CEO, with all his learning, simply needs management lessons. Rather, he's been able to promise office culture change for so long because he can rely on employee turnover. And the rest of management is complicit in this. If all the employees who have issues eventually leave or are removed, then no one is left to hold management accountable for promised change. - Your job security will not be dependent on job performance. This company isn't interested in developing best practices. They are not interested in you, as a worker, being excellent at what you do. They don't care about your passion or your interests. They don't care about collaboration. The company really only cares about whether or not you do as you're told. - Your experience at Larta is largely determined by who your director is. Do note that directors are free to take credit for your work and can/will blame underlings if things go south. Don't be surprised if you realize that you're handling most of your director's workload on top of your own. Furthermore, directors are free to lie about their own work and the work of their staff. HR will support management, regardless of documentation. - HR is not your friend. HR is not an impartial arbitrator. It doesn't matter how ridiculous the circumstances are or how heinous the reality of a situation may be, HR will back up management. End of story. - You will have to endure inappropriate comments and forced political perspectives from the management.
