Pros

The actual work itself was enjoyable and rewarding, and many of the employees were hardworking and great to work with. The position had a lot of potential and the day to day work could be very fulfilling.

Cons

Unfortunately, management in the Grande Prairie location creates an environment that often felt unprofessional, cliquey, and heavily influenced by favoritism, gossip, and high-school-style drama. Communication was inconsistent, employee concerns did not always feel heard, and there appeared to be very little separation between personal relationships and professional leadership. Multiple times leads/managers would talk behind employee backs to either each-other in front of employees or to other employees showing a level of disrespect and flat out unprofessionalism. There also situations involving inappropriate and borderline sexual behavior/interactions between managers that created uncomfortable work environments for employees. Professional boundaries and workplace conduct need to be taken far more seriously to ensure staff feel respected and comfortable at work.

Pros

My peers were mostly pleasant to work with.

Cons

Liberty Energy does not care about its employees. Despite the facade of a 'people-first' company, Liberty treats you as nothing more than a number in a spreadsheet. The HR department is the worst I've ever dealt with, offering absolutely no help to employees. I was terminated, without warning or so much as a word from HR, for a supposed policy violation that didn't actually exist. No chance to understand more. No chance to explain or provide documentation. Just my manager telling me to leave the premises immediately. I was a vital member of one of the company's most prioritized projects, and had done nothing but perform responsibilities above and beyond what my paygrade or job description expected of me. Despite this, they disposed of me without me understanding why or how they legally had a basis to. Do not fall for their selling points; Liberty Energy couldn't care less about you.
