Pros

Starting salary is pretty decent. As long as you have a bachelors degree, you don’t need any experience because you’re “trained” on the job. Depending on the training schedule, you may have the opportunity to travel (all expenses paid). Work from home twice a week.

Cons

(Takes deep breath) awful work/life balance- goal is unattainable, meaning they expect a certain number of closures every single month. It’s possible if you have absolutely nothing else going on in your life. You literally have to work 50-60 hours a week to stay on top of things and the salary does not match up to this kind of overtime. This is the real reason they allow you to work from home, it fosters a culture that transitions you into the idea of always working, very toxic. High turnover, because ultimately this is a horrible job, so naturally people with better options will leave. FAVORITISM, the amount of favoritism displayed at this place is unreal, there’s favorite teams, managers and adjusters so if you don’t fall into one of those buckets, bless your heart. Unhealthy competition - they waste your time with these award meetings where the same people from the same teams (the favs) get awards, I guess they think it’s inspiring but it’s the complete opposite. Unfair performance reviews, they don’t have a solid method for measuring performance so it’s really measured by how much you are liked. If you’re not amongst the favs your review will always be average, or below average. Lack of empathy, even though empathy is a core value they stress that you must show to customers, under no circumstance should you, as an employee, get pregnant or sick because it’s pretty much downhill after that. Horrible leadership - so these team managers, unit managers, and field manager are all quite incompetent and have mostly been given these jobs through the “good ol boys club”. They have nasty attitudes and are retaliatory so don’t bother with HR. When you work in the industry of claims and customer service, the overall nature of the job is expected to be stressful because you’re dealing with people in unfortunate events who are looking for you to “make them whole again”, however to work in such atmosphere where the department has so much dysfunction it’s not worth it. This place will age you and give you huge bags under your eyes. Don’t do it.

Pros

There are no pros to working here. I just thought of one, you have a chance to work remotely so you don’t have to see your toxic, incompetent manager in person every day.

Cons

Toxic, hostile culture Favoritism to the extreme 50-60 hours a week work but get paid for 40 Being forced to give your manager a 9-10 on a survey when they don’t deserve it to avoid fear of retaliation Coworkers crying and having panic attacks on a daily basis Just everything
