Sales Representative - Personal Markets Sales Representative Liberty Mutual Insurance Employee Review

Pros

Ok place to work. Opportunity to make practically unlimited income based on your sales. If your sales numbers are good and you have been with the company for more than 5 years, you usually have some flexibility in your work-life balance.

Cons

Management is very old-school and the training is not the best in sales, at least when I was there. I hear its gotten a little better. Sales has a very high turnover ratio because the sales requirements are very high for those just starting out in insurance. Make sure before pursuing a sales position here you have a good network of friends and business partners or you probably will not make it through the multiple 6 month sales checkpoints. The company culture seems to vary across the country and your experience as an employee will vary with your manager and coworkers at your branch/office. Benefits are good. Promotional ability vary on location, need, and your proven success record/consistency.

Pros

Decent pay, way to start in insurance, decent training, nice facility with lots of parking.

Cons

Unbelievable workload that cannot be completed in an 8 hour period. However, it is expected to be done with no overtime allowed. Coworkers crying at their desk due to receiving a weeks worth of work in 1 day. Can crush all of your marks just to be met with well for this reason you only meets, so here is your 3%.
