Pros

Overall amazing couture and good people to work with. Good benefits and time off. Work life balance is good. There are so many good things about Liberty!

Cons

Certain departments have undergone major reorganization and admitted in town halls that they were not smart with some of their spending. As the re orgs and impacts keep happening you see leaders going on retreats, the executives still getting their bonuses. While you watch other P&C companies take away the travel across the board and reduce those costs instead of having multiple lay offs. It’s hard to watch and you could hear that you’ll be impacted within the next year.. and it just hangs over you until they announce who. The industry took a hit and I think everyone understands that, but to the employee who’s been impacted while talking to a leader who’s at a resort meeting is hard to swallow. But it’s still overall a good culture in most parts of the business.

Pros

Diverse culture, work life balance, flexibility

Cons

They go through layoff regularly. Lay offs are massive, whole organizations at a time. They have multiple waves a year. I’m not sure how anything gets accomplished from so much firing and hiring and moving. Whoever’s left takes the burden and realizes they’re next. It’s bad for motivation and productivity.
