Pros
Systems are technically advanced for an enterprise organization, technology consumption is huge which opens vendor doors wide, the company's heritage precedes you and usually establishes a level of credibility that can only be lost.
Cons
The company was rampant with politically correct position holders with lots of cover for inept decision makers, difficulties in attracting and retaining high-caliber junior staff result in some mediocre work getting passed in order to stick to schedules.
