Very solid job security assuming you have a security clearance Culture is very dependent on the project/team you work with Very interesting, challenging problem spaces Very flexible in changing work assignments and moving around company Plenty of opportunities to prove yourself and go above and beyond for promotions Very good work/life balance
Cons
Large corporation with tons of bureaucracy Pains of highly regulated industry Can be a lot of outdated software and practices Some teams claim they're "agile" but are actually disguised waterfall Will never pay as much as tech companies, benefits are not the greatest
