Pros

If you like your work ethic / performance determined by how many hours per week you sit in a certain chair, this is the job for you! Benefits are industry standard or slightly worse. Company size means there is a place for almost everyone, but you'd be lucky to find your way there.

Cons

Their recruitment sessions should be considered fraud. They hire more people than they have space for, with no plans as to what they will be doing (but recruiters say anything to get them to accept the offer), and then shovel them in to whatever government-funded program they can put more burden hours onto. Most of these positions will offer you no growth of skills and nothing of value to a resume, if you care about your future career. All new employments are at-will (easy to immediately lay off large numbers), pensions were recently taken away and raises are laughable ("we have no money") despite record profits and shareholder payouts. Employees get less as the company gets more. That combined with the illogical hiring practices and horrible allocation of appropriate skillsets smells like disaster for job security and the long term future of the company.

Pros

High level of integrity throughout the company, open communications, and sincere interest in doing the right thing.

Cons

Unfortunately, I need to come up with twenty words of cons. When in reality after 41+ years in IT, I have no cons for Lockheed Martin. They are not perfect, but highly acceptable.
