Don't walk- RUN away from this job - Weapons Handler, Navy Non-Guard Services Lockheed Martin Employee Review

Pros

The work itself is extremely easy if you've worked as a Gunner's Mate or even a Master at Arms. If you're looking for a civilian job where you don't have to learn any new skills, this is it. Lockheed Martin is a big name that looks good on your resume when you're looking for better paying jobs. Some of the active duty sailors are very nice to work with. The government's GS employees, not so much.

Cons

-Pay raises are non-existent no matter how long you've been with the program. Unless your site unionizes, you're probably getting a 0.1% increase. This program is stuck on the wage determination scales. -Site leads and management do their own performance assessments and quality assurance ratings, which has got to be some kind of ethics violation. -There is absolutely no kind of Human Resources support beyond a 1-800 number, and payroll mistakes are frequent and hard to correct.

Pros

High level of integrity throughout the company, open communications, and sincere interest in doing the right thing.

Cons

Unfortunately, I need to come up with twenty words of cons. When in reality after 41+ years in IT, I have no cons for Lockheed Martin. They are not perfect, but highly acceptable.
