Pros

Non-Management People Are Nice Free Bagels on Monday

Cons

-Management lies in interviews; they will tell you what you want to hear to get you hired. They told me they have a client vetting process which is not true. -Very low salaries; my salary increased by 30% when I left. -Poor management; see advice to management section. -No work flexibility; I was told "if you are throwing up then maybe work from home." -Lack of trust in employees; see above. -Old computers; constantly shut off when unplugging your monitors or shutting the lid. -Cult like culture; drink the Kool-aid or you won't get promoted. They ask employees constantly if they "are committed to the company". -No client support; Clients literally yell at us on the phone and there is no point of escalation. -A lot of red tape for a small company -Company might be getting sold; they already have had meetings with several consultants.

Thanks for your feedback and I am sorry that Logical did not work out for you. We do our very best to listen to all of our employees to improve our culture and experience working here - we know our people are our greatest asset! I agree it is concerning that many of our computers were outdated. No matter what size company we are, we need to ensure that our technology is current and advanced - I am excited to announce that we've ordered and given out new laptops to anyone that had an outdated computer. Regarding selling the company, as the owner, I want to assure everyone, that the company is most certainly not for sale. We have not hired consultants either. However, we have signed up to be members of the Junto Institute in Chicago! Junto is an organization for leadership development where we meet monthly with a mentor team of six seasoned executives who provide shared experiences and the sessions are designed to look forward and help improve all aspects of the business. I thought I did a good job of explaining our relationship with the Junto Institute at the 2Q quarterly business review to the whole company, but clearly I fell short on that; I am sorry that was not clear in my delivery.. I apologize your experience ended on this note, and appreciate the feedback. Chris O'Neill CEO

Pros

Learning opportunities for young professionals

Cons

Terrible work-life balance and convoluted leadership. Burnout is an issue, along with vague answers to questions when onboarding. If you're at the jr. level then a decent place, but beyond that might not be a good idea to advance your career.

Thanks for taking the time to post this. I have to say, we have certainly been guilty of a very similar environment that you are describing, however that was over half a decade ago (pre covid). Not sure how long ago you worked here but we take feedback seriously. Over the years we have taken all the feedback that we have received from our employees and made significant improvements to all the things you are mentioning. So as much as I would agree with you that we have in the past been inadequate on some of the items you have called out, I would 100% disagree that we are having those challenges today. Perfect, no, we are very far from perfect, however our average employee tenure has increased significantly, as our teammates are staying here longer and I can only attribute that to us having created an environment where people are excited about what they are doing and where we are headed. I have always been taught that feedback is a gift (a free gift) however I have also been taught that feedback needs to be specific. Like when you tell someone, they "did a good job" - that is not feedback. Saying "you did a great job because you were able to take your opening remarks and create a throughline with your message through every slide you presented and then tied it all back together during your conclusion". <- this is "feedback". Can you be more specific with your comments about "vague answers to questions during your onboarding" and "convoluted leadership"? Regarding Onboarding: We take everyone's onboarding very seriously. There is a significant effort to ensure we are making everyone's onboarding experience a positive one. Again are we perfect with this, definitely not however we are always trying to improve. I would welcome a conversation where you can explain more specifically what you mean with this comment? Or where we were "vague" in our responses to your questions. Regarding Leadership: I would love to learn more specifically what you experienced here? This is a fairly broad comment that lacks clarity or specifics. Managing a company or a team is not an easy task to say the least when you are working in an industry that literally changes every year, sometimes multiple times a year. I can only presume this is what you mean? Innovation and change are an absolute and non-negotiable essential for an agency to be successful. We pivot every year to ensure our product is current and we are offering the best possible solutions to the customers we serve(this year is certainly no different). Oftentimes, when we pivot with the market or industry's evolution, it can be disruptive as change is hard on people. We do our best to offer as much guidance and clarity as we can and those teammates who embrace change and charge forward, attempting to achieve the best possible outcome, are the ones who thrive here at Logical Regarding work life balance, I know this all too well. We are an agency and agency life is hard. Again I do feel like you potentially worked here a long time ago but we have made strides to ensure our team's have good balance. Outside of the list below, the most important change we have made is to ask our clients to not contact our employees after work hours or over the weekend. I send out an email every year reminding our clients that it is imperative that our teammates recharge their batteries when they are not at work. Again this is not perfect however it has been pervasive across our client roster. I no longer send emails at night or during the weekends too (I may still write them but I schedule them to send the next morning). Here's a list of other items we have included to ensure our teams find the time to rest: Generous paid holiday schedule Summer Fridays Mental Health Days personal days PTO various leaves closed between xmas and ny We have also successfully had an Account Management team in place since 2019. This team is responsible for managing client communication and ensuring the delvery teams are as innaccessible as we can make them, to our clients. This is not perfect but we have invested heavily here to help manage load. I am always sorry to hear when any of our teammates don't have a good experience here. Again agency life is not for everyone and Logical for sure, is not for everyone. I am more than willing to meet with you to discuss your experience. Again I am quite curious about when you worked here as I would like to compare that time to today. If not, I understand and I wish you only the best in your life and professional career Chris O'Neill
