Pros

40% off discount was nice

Cons

Very unprofessional. Shifts were added with less than a weeks notice without giving staff a heads up. My shifts were also regularly shortened and even cancelled up to an hour before I was scheduled which was so disrespectful of my time. The vibe was strange. There was no delegating tasks to staff we just basically stood around and had to ask for something to do. Huge lack of training also they just expect you to know how to do things they’ve never shown you or know how processes work.

Pros

There were no pros to working for this company.

Cons

Corporate had such unrealistic expectations and would micromanage by calling throughout the day asking all employees what the current sales numbers were at and what each employee would do to turn it around. There was barely any foot traffic and the regional manager would push for everyone to go through out the mall and food court to get people to come into the store, as well as stand in front of the store to lure people to come in. It was so cringey and seemed to turn customers away even more. It seemed and felt desperate. Everything was focused on numbers and not any concern for customers or employees at all. It seemed to have gone against everything Lorna Jane stood for and all the motivational “vibes” and sayings in stores and on clothing. It was cliquey and not an inclusive environment. The store manager was great and tried her best, but none of the employees would listen and basically wanted to sit on their phones instead of work and do things like basic tasks such as go-backs, make sure the store and merchandise was tidy and organized. Not unreasonable asks at all. There was even a pregnant employee who got in trouble by the regional manager for elevating her feet while on a break in the back. Crazy!
