Pros

It's an enjoyable place to work if you are career focused, it's a very positive culture and each team member wants to make everyone better. There are many things that I greatly enjoy about working here is that we all work together on a project that comes in, and we all push each other to ensure the work is getting done, it's a fail forward environment. The ownership group really cares about it's people as well which is not common in most organizations. At Magna we collaborate as a team to best serve our customers. If you're willing to work hard, put in the time, make the effort, train and get better each and everyday it's extremely rewarding. The microphone is also alot of fun as we all get to share our win's and what we learned from our mistakes. You also get to prospect your leads, use the companies leads, and work with their business development team to get your desk going, this is a truly great benefit for a first year recruiter. Also, free parking and many offices to work in.

Cons

More strategy meetings with the team would be great. The company provides it's employees with plenty of resources and support so there really are no con's. Magna is not for everyone, you have to be driven and willing to put in the time to get up and running. A committed mindset is what works best with the team. That's why I love it!!

Pros

The promises of support, potential salary and training are enticing, but the reality falls short. If the positive reviews were accurate reflections of the workplace, many of us would still be employed there [if not fired or pushed out before probation period].

Cons

Training: Despite promises of comprehensive training, new hires are often left to manage tasks with minimal guidance and face criticism for any mistakes. Micromanagement: The top executives excessively monitor employees, frequently reviewing emails and questioning activities every 30 minutes to an hour. They assign additional projects without regard to existing workloads and criticize work output, often attributing unsuccessful outcomes to poor leads rather than providing constructive feedback. Job Security: Many employees are terminated during the probation period, creating an atmosphere of constant anxiety among the remaining staff. If leads are not closed or the market is slow, management readily places blame on employees and makes them vulnerable to termination. Work/Life Balance: Employees are expected to remain at their desks from 8 AM to 5 PM without adequate breaks and are often required to work overtime with little notice. Despite working over 10 hours daily, there is a pervasive lack of trust in employee performance and time management. Compensation: The promised earning potential is highly unrealistic. Many employees find it extremely difficult to achieve the projected earnings, making the job not worth the stressful and demanding work environment fostered by upper management.

Pros

I worked in sales and search for Magna - calling, emailing and filling roles. I made a lot of money during my 5+ years and did very well but then went back into my family business of Real Estate. Recruitment has ups and downs, lows and high's like all industries but I was always busy with open files and client files, I would get my own orders and orders from management. The leadership team is to the point, they explain what needs to get done, they will always work with you to get better and learn and push you beyond your comfort zone - which some people have a hard time with who are new to this industry. When I had a personal matter - they went above and beyond for me and which I will never forget. Its a small business, but they do very well and has a bright future for people. This is not a job / company where you can do average work as the people that work here are on-top of it and the process they follow is proven to work.

Cons

Change some systems for onboarding Give new hires new tasks to work on so there is a bit more variety More team get togethers would be better They sometimes keep people around that are not the right fit for what they do and how they do it
