Pros
Marvin is a company that does a lot for its community and its employees. They have profit sharing annually, lots of appreciation messages and gifts, and a commitment to job security. Which is both a pro and a con in itself-- there are limited opportunities for advancement, because people will stay in their roles for several years, if not decades in some instances. Paul Marvin has been fantastic as a CEO in recent years, and has done a lot to help the Warroad location meet the standards that the rest of the professional world enjoys.
Cons
As much as they give to their employees, they expect a lot from them in return. They're not afraid to send their office personnel onto the production floor if they have to, and overtime is both common and required. The compensation isn't great when compared to the rest of the world, but its good money for the local area. One thing that really bothered me-- there are VERY few women in leadership roles other than the senior leadership team. Senior to middle management is almost all men.
