Pros

Working 12 hours shifts is hard but rewarding to have 4 days off. Extremely culturally diverse. Most of my co-workers don't speak English, but they are fun to work with despite the language barrier. The work will make or break you. You learn a lot about production, manufacturing, packing, fixing doors, and non-verbal communication. Skills matrix is nice even though payscale should be better imo.

Cons

Management is extremely rude and demeaning to fellow co-workers. Most don't understand what their direct manager is asking during meetings, but I feel it's more a problem that they try to micromanage us so much and treat us like we're not adults on shift. Most of the time it's management that inhibits quality instead of my fellow co-workers. Pay isn't that great. Benefits are ok at best. The healthcare is expensive since you're not even making above poverty level compared to the cost of living in Denver. Had a situation where I had to miss 2 weeks unpaid and racked up points despite having doctor's notes and still got a written warning for missing work. Never seen that kind of system and makes me not want to work for a place that does it. Most of the time you have to yell or scream at your fellow co-worker or learn good body language because the ear protection on the shop floor.

Pros

Good benefits, company values, and employees are considered when big decisions are made. There's opportunities for labor share and travel to other locations. It is family owned and while we don't see them often, they make you feel seen and that you matter. There's a nurse who is easy to talk to and actually cares. There have been a lot of changes in HR but its for the better. Lots of opportunities to learn new things and grow. We also got a new parking lot which was much needed since the plant has grown.

Cons

Mandatory overtime on Saturdays, but has gotten better. Not much visibility from the safety department on second and third shift unless its early afternoon on second shift - or - the last couple hours on third shift. There's four safety specialists here and they all mostly work during business hours, so unless you catch them before they leave its difficult to address anything. There's a safety committee but it can be difficult to get an actual person from the safety department because of their working hours.
