I worked part time until last summer when I finished up my degree and could get a job more in line with my career. It's a fun place to work, the job is pretty simple and easy to do and you can work from home after you've proven to be consistent and don't generate complaints from the clients (mostly doctors who can sometimes be hard to please)
Cons
Some staff always seem to be bitter about having to follow company policies and spend more time bad mouthing and trying to change things then they do just doing their job. Management seems to put up with those people more than they should, to the point that the good employees suffer even more. Having to verify information that the caller provides is important because most callers are in such a hurry they give wrong information and then the doctor gets mad if you send it to him or her. Some employees seem to resent having to verify information so they won't do it which then makes it hard for other employees when the doctors complain about getting wrong information.
Work from home, competitive pay for the field. Great for self disciplined, detail oriented and dependable people. Manager and CEO are easy to talk to and receptive to feedback.
Cons
Management is over worked due to the lack of a Supervisor and Quality support. Staff is not regularly updated on work progress. Time off is difficult to get approved since you must find someone willing to work for you first. No benefits for PT other than 401K.
