      Pros

      I’ve had the privilege to work at Medtronic for the past 9 years, the development, teamwork and culture has been great. Career growth has also been present and giving back to patients has been rewarding.

      Cons

      From a business side of things, Medtronic is lacking in innovation and has been losing market share to competitors. Which can and has lead to reorganizations within BU’s. Nothing they can’t get out of and pivot.

      Pros

      Generous, old-school benefits. Almost twice the PTO as other places I've worked, excellent healthcare, 401K matching, etc. Many high-quality colleagues and a generally mellow, polite business culture.

      Cons

      Multiple competing bureaucracies, internal consultancies, a computer-illiterate 'stakeholder' class with permission to disrupt anything, and perverse incentives driving waste.
