Pros

Genuinely great colleagues, large company with plenty of opportunities to learn and move sideways. Fantastic flexible working, good technology support, great HR, particularly for people managers. Some great business resource groups and diversity is championed.

Cons

Compensation is benchmarked against the market, but not always competitive for existing employees. Once you're in the door you can definitely move up but often not with the money you'd get by making the same move externally. Plenty of other benefits and great managers make a difference but it's worth negotiating well in the first instance. There can be a disconnect between the messaging from very senior leadership and the reality 'on the ground'.

Pros

-Trustworthy immediate colleagues -Good work/life balance and flexibility

Cons

-Little career pathing within company. Organization is extremely siloed, and cheap as they simply aren't interested in paying for small things to advance one's career like local industry conferences and events such as team holiday dinners that would have minimal impact on the company's bottom line. -Pay not aligned with skills or talent marketplace -One would think a benefits/career consultant would have decent pay and benefits. This is not the case
