Pros

I worked in NIKEiD. The actual content and product that is produced is amazing. There is constant innovation and product will be added or dropped in a cut-throat manner to get the best out there for the consumer. The benefits are good, not great. A lot of the on campus benefits (gym, daycare, food) are amazing but cost a lot of money. You really get excited to work for the company and the employee store discounts are great.

Cons

The team I was on was full of guys who did not check their egos at the door. Very poor environment when it comes to collaboration. Horrible on-boarding process. You will have a great orientation and get excited about Nike, but some departments then throw you to the wolves. In my year there, direct or senior management changed 4-5 times. My job duties were never clear. The product lifecycle process was never clear. If you aren't a jock or super obsessed about sports, you may not fit in. Certain categories are given less attention or downright ignored in favor of the "cool" categories. Culture is all over the place ranging from tight teams to teams that barely communicate.

Pros

Working at Nike was a great experience overall. The company culture is energetic, inclusive, and team-oriented. Management encourages employees to embody the Nike brand and provides opportunities for growth within retail and corporate roles. Employee discounts are excellent and make it easy to enjoy the products you sell. The work environment is fast-paced, especially during launches and holiday seasons, which keeps the job engaging. I also appreciated working alongside passionate teammates who genuinely cared about customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.

Cons

Retail schedules can be inconsistent and often include nights, weekends, and holidays. During peak periods, the store can become extremely busy, which can be stressful when balancing customer service expectations with operational tasks. Advancement opportunities can vary depending on store location and management structure.
