Pros

The projects you work on are of high quality, budgets are high, and the talent in the weeds you work side-by-side with are excellent at what they do each in their own way. Luxurious work lifestyle. Salary and benefits are very good. Diversity and gender equity is the best I've seen at any company - and they are doing the work. There are some great people within the toxic culture which gives hope to the environment changing in the future.

Cons

Ego. A very privileged workforce that lacks empathy for each other and is quick to judge without taking time to understand nor help each other succeed. Many unspoken internal rules that are opposite of the brand mission. Constant guessing of what leadership says vs what management expects. That leads to constant internal confusion. Very little organization, toxic optimism, no consistency, little to no onboarding, no support for success, poor management, very bad communication, too many meetings, terrible time & resource management, a culture that retaliates, all the isms, good ole' boys network even with so many female workers and a renewed focus on equity in leadership. Lots of high level good intentions, very little governance with management and little follow through so issues you've heard about from years ago persist and you see great people get passed by or pushed out based on petty attitudes from an old-school corporate way of managing. FTE workers have little to no work-life balance therefore expectations of ETW and contractors vary widely depending on the attitude towards them.

Pros

Working at Nike was a great experience overall. The company culture is energetic, inclusive, and team-oriented. Management encourages employees to embody the Nike brand and provides opportunities for growth within retail and corporate roles. Employee discounts are excellent and make it easy to enjoy the products you sell. The work environment is fast-paced, especially during launches and holiday seasons, which keeps the job engaging. I also appreciated working alongside passionate teammates who genuinely cared about customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.

Cons

Retail schedules can be inconsistent and often include nights, weekends, and holidays. During peak periods, the store can become extremely busy, which can be stressful when balancing customer service expectations with operational tasks. Advancement opportunities can vary depending on store location and management structure.
