Pros

Great pay, benefits, and culture. Good discounts and generally cool to be a part of such an iconic brand. Especially cool to be based at their global headquarters given the campus perks and events.

Cons

If you ACTUALLY want to get work done, have some wins/accomplishments under your belt, this is not the place for you. They pride themselves on making decisions by committee, which makes every decision an asinine process. You will spend MONTHS, literally 6+ months "socializing" an idea or body of work, and then have something come in and just render it a moot point. You just wasted 6 months doing literally nothing that matters. But, hey, you got paid well. They are trying to brand themselves internally as a technology company, yet they don't even have the MOST BASIC technology capabilities. It's truly a joke. And people push back on technological progress. The leadership they have on the tech side don't seem to know what the hell they're doing or they're just heavily influenced away from doing the smart thing. Several people doing the same job. So much overlap. Not uncommon to join a meeting and find that someone else on the call has your exact same job and now you two have to battle it out to figure out who's going to take this one on or what part of it you'll work on. They could probably let go of 60% of the people that work here and you'd still never notice.

Pros

Working at Nike was a great experience overall. The company culture is energetic, inclusive, and team-oriented. Management encourages employees to embody the Nike brand and provides opportunities for growth within retail and corporate roles. Employee discounts are excellent and make it easy to enjoy the products you sell. The work environment is fast-paced, especially during launches and holiday seasons, which keeps the job engaging. I also appreciated working alongside passionate teammates who genuinely cared about customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.

Cons

Retail schedules can be inconsistent and often include nights, weekends, and holidays. During peak periods, the store can become extremely busy, which can be stressful when balancing customer service expectations with operational tasks. Advancement opportunities can vary depending on store location and management structure.
