Pros

NVIDIA is full of excellent people who are exciting about what they are doing. There is a level of excellence at this company that I have not experienced anywhere else. Even with so many rock stars, everyone has a voice. As long as you speak honestly and give your reasoning, you can be sure your thoughts will be heard, no matter what level you are in your career. It's really exciting to be surrounded by such excellent people, it really makes you motivated to excel. The employee stock purchase program is also very good and ensures that virtually everyone in the company has a stake in the company.

Cons

The openness of communication within the company means that you can get bombarded with emails and often wonder why you're receiving it. This can sometimes make it difficult to pick out the signal from the noise. The company also doesn't offer any discounts to employees on the products we create. To be fair, there's a gear store where you accumulate credit every quarter, but the credit is spent on full-priced items with hefty shipping costs. Even when the company thought to create something special for the employees (a special Christmas ornament) we were only offered a chance to buy it for ourselves.

Pros

The product security organization has a very ideal work-life balance. The culture is strong on ownership and trust. There is a good sense of pride and collaboration across teams with low level of politics and high sense of "the project is the boss". Compensation is good for the roles. Merit increases and promotions are mostly transparent, but can vary from manager to manager.

Cons

Leadership direction can be whiplash at some times. Some initiatives feel directionless, while others feel misguided. Leadership does respond to push back and listens to employees though, but it often feels like managing up.
