Pros

They add an extra $10 to your check for having to use your phone to communicate to others in the spa

Cons

Terrible accruing PTO per check. (Around 3 hours I believe) Expensive benefits, they don’t pay for much. They did tell me as a certified medical assistant I would help out in the front desk, I agreed to help the front desk if they got busy (I thought there were separate receptionists). I came from an urgent care where I gained a lot of different skills in a very fast pace/high pressure environment, so me sitting at the front desk everyday made me feel worthless. Since I was up there everyday I did notice the system they used to have pt fill out the agreement forms was not hipaa complient, I told the manager that once the pt is done filling out the form the system goes back to the Home Screen to show all the patients for the day and how patients could just go into anyone’s chart. I guess I wasn’t taken seriously as nothing was done. They then wanted me to sell semiglutide, that was the final straw for me because working very closely with doctors and other physicians in the past, I’ve learned potential side effects and what a medication is used for and what to absolutely not use it for and to research before opening my mouth, especially anything regarding health. This spa did not want me to share the full list of side effects or that it could potentially lead to insulin resistance. The vitamin shots were not a strong enough dosage to make a slight difference. I did give a few vitamin injections to some patients and they all said they “don’t feel a difference,” this made my actual helpful side in health come out and I told them it’s simply not enough and they need to get blood work done to see how much of a certain vitamin they need to take and that they might need to start on a prescription dosage first and then can move to otc vitamins but vitamin shots are not nearly enough. I can say more but I guess I won’t be moving forward with a career in aesthetics since spas do not want you to explain everything to the patient or client. Also I signed to work full time but did not know that meant only 32 hours.
