Pros
Luckily the team I work with (for the most part) are lovely— both really engaged with wanting to do better for themselves and have a genuine want to improve the store
Cons
Store standards— - mould and mushrooms growing in the office which is also the bathroom with a toilet that has a constant leak and doesn’t flush.. - almost no lights functioning on the shop floor and entire walls in disarray and crumbling away due to Office not paying or following through maintenance requests - no heating or air con, the store has the same square foot space as a lunch box (or a shoebox, no pun..) as neither Office or the landlord want to pay for - have to use a torch in the stockrooms due to poor lighting and conditions - unachievable bonus scheme and very unclear daily targets, managers given a lot of reports but no clear daily run rates to encourage individual productivity - reprimanded immediately for any kind of human error or lateness regardless of reason from head office and store teams don’t generally have a voice (if not clocked in right on the minute you get scolded and called out) - poor pay, management aren’t allowed much autonomy or control
