Pros

Laid back environment. Learned a lot and everyone here was cool. If you're looking to learn supply chain, logistics, and sales then this is a good experience. This was good to use and put on your resume to get your foot in the door with another company.

Cons

A lot of warehouse work (hot labor). Low pay throughout the entire company besides the sales manager. If your a college student this is really just a good stepping stone for another company. You do learn a lot of good business skills but you are also doing a lot of hard labor work in the warehouse for low pay. In order to become an operations manager or BDR it takes 6 months in the MIT program and to me it's not worth it to get a bachelors degree and then do 6 months of training for underpaying/overqualified positions. Not a lot of growth after becoming an operations manager or BDR.

Pros

My experience has been wonderful, as I have managed to learn a tremendous amount about the world of sales and the POOLCORP culture; there is always someone willing to help and guide you through a process or assist you in achieving your goals. I cannot single out just one person, as so many have stood by my side and guided me throughout this journey, but I do extend my gratitude to the entire team. I hope to continue being a part of this great company and, of course, to climb many more rungs up the ladder. THANK YOU POOLCORP!!!

Cons

Sometimes a little more cohesion and teamwork are needed.

Pros

The BDR role at PoolCorp offers a strong mix of relationship-driven sales, territory ownership, and direct impact on business growth within a stable and growing industry.

Cons

While the BDR role offers strong growth opportunities, it also involves managing operational complexity, margin pressure, and external factors like seasonality and supply chain constraints
