Pros
Great Pay and benefits, far superior to thier competitors. Fantastic leadership team who cares about the company, customers and its employees . Ultra modern office environment and if there are any profits they do not go to a shareholder but rather the community (unfortunately it has been a few years since a profit has been made though).
Cons
Changes are needed in PBCs cost structure to survive as they compete against companies who have outsourced everything to India and the Philippines. Despite the benefits for the unionized employees being more generous than the Management teams benefits, CUPE is misleading it's membership to think management is trying to strip away thier benefits. CUPÉ being primarily a public service union doesn't realize that the more they try and push business away the less high quality jobs there are for its members (unlike government). Really sad situation they put thier membership in and I hope it's resolved soon. The employees on the picket line are awesome hard working individuals but the silent few are misleading them and it is so unfortunate.
