Not perfect but a great place to learn - Senior Recruiter Pacific Firm Employee Review

Pros

You are allowed to work on positions ranging from Manager to CEO and it's great getting exposure to so many different types of companies, industries, positions, and people. They have a really unique approach to recruiting. A niche market that others should know about and it should be easy to sell their services in a good economy and even in a soft one. You can take over client relationships entirely - something unheard of in a large firm. The staff are all very tight.

Cons

The economy took it's toll on everyone in the firm. Management is stressed out and short fused. Things need to be stabilized. This is a stressful place to work because management expects you to be knowledgeable immediately and there is no room for errors while training. .

Pros

- CEO is smart and well informed - CEO is accountable - PacFirm has a long history of success - People are important to the company and its success - If you have a problem, address it and have a one-on-one with Mgt or the CEO - If you do not like a high-stress and fast-paced work environment, recruiting/research/SM is not for you

Cons

- Can get stressful at times but I haven't worked in a job that didn't

Pros

You always know where you stand and you always get to share in the successes and the flops. There is no hidden agenda. There isn't any political backstabbing. There is ample room to grab onto new tasks and run with them. You can create your own position and build and grow without limit. You have unlimited access to management who listens to new ideas - maybe not implementing them all but at least they hear.

Cons

The economy has us by the tail so we go where it goes. It can be frightening. There isn't enough security - but that is industry specific rather than just our company. We've made it through two major recesssions but there is always the low level fear we'll get smacked down by the next one. Oh, and as a recruiter there is a famous expression, "You're only as good as your last search."
