Pros

This agency hires New Grads and RN's with no previous hospice experience. Manageable case load averaging about 10-12 patients. Mileage reimbursement and good benefit package. Pay was above average for experience with $4 raises every 6 months during 1st year.

Cons

On-call schedule was very demanding with very poor compensation, you didn't get paid if you didn't receive any calls. Owner was difficult to work for but I've heard he has gotten easier to work with. High turn over rate.

Pros

I started as a new graduate. I learned a lot from Pacific Hospice. We always worked as team. All the coworkers was always helpful whenever I needed their help. I would recommend specially new graduates to work there so gain knowledge and experience and best company to grow with .

Cons

It was a pleasure working there.

Pros

My mentor was the best RN ever. She trained me and supported me in every way possible. The nurses are compassionate. There is a team approach. Whenever I was too busy other nurses helped me. Now I do the same for them😊. The patients are grateful for the comfort care that I provide. I have gotten several thank you cards from families. I like hospice because it gives me time to get to know my patient and caregiver. I started here six months ago.

Cons

Driving in traffic to patients homes. All the patient visits are at patient homes, board and cares etc.
