Most changes have to be done off hours so lots of unpaid work. Mega stress because so many environments, we struggle with standards, and if something goes wrong with your change management goes crazy. If management likes you you're ok, but they need their scapegoats. Management wants to move up so nothing can make them look bad. Most people including front line managers are walking on eggshells.
You can't trust management. They give lip service to values but they are power hungry and vindictive. Best to keep your ideas to yourself. They can be downright childish.
We spend too much time trying to figure out the dozens of goals per department, constant meetings, constant interruptions and politics. We don't finish goals, but spin the story. We can't finish because priorities change, projects don't get finished because we have to figure out and support what we build as we build it.
Everybody seems to do Agile their own way. It doesn't fit what some of the teams do so people are confused.
Our tools and repos can be slow and sometimes go down. Again, hard to get the work done on time. Operations issues / testing can turn into all hands events.
There seem to be gender, age, race issues some subtle and some not. Women go into management and then they leave. Older folks have been getting pushed out for years. Ethnic impressions are laughed off.
