Pros

I came to Paylocity after hearing about the awesome culture, great opportunities, and the truly talented people that we were working here. Paylocity is truly committed to employee satisfaction and maintaining a work/life balance. The motto here has always been "happy employees, mean happy clients" and it is absolutely true. Promoting employees from within and creating career advancement opportunities is a standard here. If you are contributing value to your team; that will never go unnoticed and you are truly valued as an employee. Very casual office environment with game rooms, a market on-site, casual dress, and really good food trucks that come by almost every day. It's definitely been the best career jump that I could have made, and it's no wonder why it is ranked one of the top places to work in Illinois year after year.

Cons

Location can be an issue for some people since it is located in the suburbs. Depending on the department that you are in, there are work from home options a few days per week. I live in the suburbs, so I like the location! We are a growth company and finding enough talent to support all of the awesome product lines that our Product Development teams are developing.

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

There used to be many. By the time I left all of the pros had been phased out. The only pro was allowing some people to stay remote- but if you wanted to advance in your career you would be forced back in office.

Cons

Low pay. Micromanaging. Hiring leadership from outside Paylocity and even outside of the industry. Major and extreme departmental changes rapidly. Change is a part of business but in six months my role became unrecognizable. I was there for five years and had planned to be there for much longer. This last year was terrible. Low communication from all leadership. Higher and higher expectations of employees with no bonuses or pay raises to accommodate. My regional director was forcing people out and speaking badly about employees regularly.
