Pros

Some of the overworked coworkers on my team are awesome to work with with.

Cons

IT is run by a CIO and his good ole boys club. The IT staff from CIO to Directors like to pretend they are bringing in outside talent to help them with their growth issues. Unfortunately, they don’t listen to new hires and continue to run things like they have been . They will engage multiple vendors at once causing chaos when it actually comes time to execute. The Database Director is extremely toxic and talks to other teams in a condescending way via a new Slack thread any time he opens a service request that isn’t immediately taken care of. The Cloud Director talks over anyone he can, insisting he knows anything and everything from Cloud to Networking to Infrastructure… he also used to work at a major hardware vendor so good luck talking him off any decision that contradicts that specific vendor’s technology. Infrastructure Director is an end user computing guy.. so have fun explaining all enterprise infrastructure tasks to him and begging him and the CAB team to approve any change requests. If your change request does get approved, you will work multiple times a week at midnight implementing the change requests. The morale of the front line workers is extremely low. They are overworked. They are done making recommendations on how to make things better because they have to fight the change control process to get anything approved. Plus they didn’t invest in these teams for several years. Everyone is burned out and angry all the time. Please do not leave your job to work here. Maybe if you have no other option, give it a shot.

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pros

Great benefits; 90% of the ppl that worked there were the best and really did great work.

Cons

Made employees choose between having MLK Day off or Juneteenth- both which are federally recognized holidays. Excuse was that our customers are open on those days so we need to be open. So as a company, we had to pick which would be a paid holiday and everyone chose Juneteenth because it was in the summer. I think we got a floating holiday to use for any other holiday we wanted off that wasn’t recognized by the company. As you can imagine, this racism was prevalent in management/leadership. My team was the most diverse team and we all got restructured/laid off. There’s a lot of ego and control issues in this company, especially in Talent Acquisition.
