Pros

The pros are working with some great employees and teammates, that’s about it.

Cons

No yearly performance bonuses or incentives for working overtime. Below market pay compared to every other Payroll/HCM company out there. Their comments about evaluating pay or any cost of living increase is ignored behind closed doors. A lot of Team Leads have no business helping manage a team as they negligently provide incorrect steps/answers when you need help. Lots of brown-nosing at Paylocity, almost like a pathetic high school environment. Working hard doesn’t always equal promoting the right employees. They are not accommodating with make up time or treating you like a proper human being when personal issues arise. Benefits are expensive if you have a family, not affordable for what you make in pay. Leadership blames the high turnover rate due to “bad employees” but that’s simply not true. It’s the low pay, workload of simultaneous calls and emails nonstop throughout the day that burns Account Managers out forcing them to quit, leave or worse be fired. This workload will break your mental health, don’t wear your 45+ hours a week as badge of honor, burnout is not admirable. Very detached leadership that doesn’t even know existing policies or procedure changes months after the fact. The praise of company culture at Paylocity is the definition of drinking the Koolaid, trying to make things seem better than they actually are.

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

Great benefits; 90% of the ppl that worked there were the best and really did great work.

Cons

Made employees choose between having MLK Day off or Juneteenth- both which are federally recognized holidays. Excuse was that our customers are open on those days so we need to be open. So as a company, we had to pick which would be a paid holiday and everyone chose Juneteenth because it was in the summer. I think we got a floating holiday to use for any other holiday we wanted off that wasn’t recognized by the company. As you can imagine, this racism was prevalent in management/leadership. My team was the most diverse team and we all got restructured/laid off. There’s a lot of ego and control issues in this company, especially in Talent Acquisition.
